Smart Glass & Switchable Privacy Glass Systems

PDLC smart glass systems — switch from clear to opaque privacy glass at the touch of a button.

Smart glass (PDLC — Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) transforms from transparent to frosted privacy glass with a simple electrical switch — offering instant privacy without blinds or curtains. Ideal for boardrooms, hospital consultation rooms, hotel bathrooms, villa master bedrooms, and high-end retail fitting rooms. Our systems are supplied as laminated smart glass units or as retrofit adhesive PDLC film. Control options include wall switches, remote controls, smart-home integration (KNX, Zigbee, Wi-Fi), and motion sensors. Available in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and NEOM.

Smart Glass: Clear or Private at the Touch of a Switch

Switchable smart glass (PDLC) changes from clear to frosted when you switch it off, giving instant privacy without blinds or curtains. When power is on, a liquid-crystal film inside the glass lines up and the glass turns clear; when power is off, the crystals scatter light and the glass becomes opaque.

It is used in boardrooms, meeting rooms, hospital rooms, hotel bathrooms, villa bedrooms and retail fitting rooms, in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and NEOM.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does switchable smart glass work?

A PDLC film inside the glass contains liquid crystals. With power applied they line up and the glass is clear; with power off they scatter light and the glass turns frosted.

Can smart glass be added to existing windows?

Yes. Self-adhesive PDLC film can be applied to existing glass and wired to a switch, which is often quicker and cheaper than replacing the glass.

Does smart glass use a lot of electricity?

No. It draws only a small amount of power, and only when it is clear.
